Back in April 2014, I was very excited and nervous about exhibiting at my first Wedding Fair. With my previous years of being involved in marketing and using my own ideas, I set to work on creating my very amateur stand. With a wealth of knowledge still to come, I thought I did “ok” and was extremely pleased with my efforts, especially my thrown together slideshow, something I had not see other Bridals use.
The Wedding Fair turned out to be an utter disaster, but I did, however, have the opportunity to meet Kirsty and Linda from Flair for Chairs. Wow! Thats all I could remember thinking, seeing their professional display of twinkles, sparkles, and beautiful, delicate hanging glassware. What they had done to the chairs, well, I was totally in awe at how a modest seating area had been completely transformed.
This was the start of an extremely great friendship both personally and professionally. Kirsty and I are very similar in our thoughts of how things should be, how customer service is utterly paramount and how important and perfect our products needed to be also.
As time has gone on, we have talked about joining forces together, amongst a ton of other stuff. With both business’s complimenting each other, it was just the right way forward, an opportunity to give our lovely Brides the full package, but more importantly, the confidence to know that they would have fun with us, knowing that they would be made to feel relaxed and looked after, which for some is a huge relief, as it really can be a stressful time planning your wedding.
For Mollydolly’s the opportunity of a studio came quickly, and it was a given that Flair for Chairs needed to be in the shop too. Because of the vast amount of dresses I had already built up, space was and still is limited. However, Kirsty’s eye for attention and detail has helped to dress the Studio making it look very girly and pretty, and at the same time, show off her beautiful products to give brides an idea of how amazing their venue could look, whilst trying on my beautiful dresses.
Kirsty and Linda hold their consultations at Mollydolly’s. This works well, as they are able to make use of the floor space, dressing up a mock table with all the trimmings that every bride loves to see. This also gives potential clients the opportunity to see the quality of Kirsty and Linda’s fabulous work and unique ideas close up.
Due to the expansion of their business, Kirsty and Linda have now re-named Flair for Chairs to PEACHES AND PEARLS - Venue Styling. For more information and details please take a look at their website - www.peachesandpearlskent.co.uk
